Kootenay Wonderland Itinerary

Do you relax at a slower pace?  Then this trip is for you!  This trip will relax your soul as you enjoy many of the activties this area has to offer.

Strap on the skinny skiis and we will build our own trails in the wilderness of the Rockies. Slipin and slidin through the snow we will ski the mature lodepol pine forests.  Stopping for lunch at building a warm campfire to keep the chill off. 

MUSH, MUSH cries the leader, the howls from the dogs and your off!  Today you will learn all about one of our oldest winter transportation systems, dog sledding. You will head out to the kennels, meet the dogs and climb aboard, your guides will then take you through the trails and teach you how to run the sleds.  You may even have the chance to mush the dogs on your own.

Today we will rise early and travel through the back roads and seek out those wintering elk deer, coyotes and more.  We will end up at the Lussier hot springs, warm natural mineral waters bubbling form the earth.  We will soak any aches we may have away before returning to the resort.

Choose between snowshoeing today or another day of cross country.  We will spend the day ont he great outdoors enjoying the snow and nature.  Hearty lunch beside the campfire and then the journay home.  A great wrap up dinner awaits you at the resort.
