| Family Adventure Itinerary
We will start our week with a fabulous deluxe breakfast at the beautiful St. Eugene Mission Resort. Our first activity will take us down the beautiful St Mary’s River on a raft. While on your float you will have the opportunity to see an exciting selection of BC wildlife: bald eagles and other birds of prey, swans, bears, coyote, beaver and otters. Upon our return to the Resort you will have dinner, the chance for a soak in the warm hot pools, leisurely walks, or a swim in the larger pools.
We will hike into the beautiful sub-alpine of the Purcell Mountains and visit our namesake- Howling Wolf Lake. Rest and relax while we have a picnic lunch on the shores of the lake. You will have the opportunity to catch a brook trout, explore the cirque around the lake or climb the ridge to see the sights above tree line.

Welcome to the west! You will spend sometime learning about horse safety and riding techniques and after you have a chance to meet your horse and your horse meets you, we will saddle up for a ride. We will wander on horseback through the mature lodgepole pine forests in the Ta Ta Creek area, have a hearty lunch before heading back to the St Eugene.
Play the day away at the Kimberley Alpine
resort. Bumper boats, alpine slide, mini golf and more all with
an amazing view of the Rockies. Explore the platzl, the heart
of the Bavarian town of Kimberley.

We will explore the base of the magnificent Steeples range on mountain bike. The numerous single and double track gently rolling trails will give us a great view of the Steeples. We will stop for a picnic lunch on the shores of Horseshoe lake and maybe a swim. Then its a history lesson! We will visit historic Fort Steele, originally born as Galbraiths Ferry during the 1864 Kootenay Gold rush, it was renamed in honor of Superintendent Sam Steele of the North-West Mounted Police in 1888. We will dine at the International Hotel for a full 1890's dining experience and then its of to the Fort Steele Follies theatre!
Soak up the summer sun of the Kootenays by the Lake. A short hike will take us to one of our favorite lakes in the Kootenays where will have a picnic lunch.
